Who should attend? Parents and Caregivers
All parents participating in the group will be provided with a workbook to guide their growing knowledge in the area of behaviour management and real-life application with their children. Payment can be made over the phone in consultation with our Child and Family Advisor team at the time of registration. Fees are 100% refundable provided that cancellation is received at least one week prior to the first class. Deposits are non-refundable if less than one week notice is given. Location: Internet Access Required Modality: Online Participants: Parent only Max. participants: 9 Duration: 1 hour, 8-9pm Price per group: $200 Sessions per group: 6 Age range: Any age range amongst parents participants. Group would be most beneficial for parents of children 2-10 years of age. Dates of 6 sessions:
Group most appropriate for parents who are challenged with children who are non-compliant and/or demonstrating tantrums. Goal for parents who have successfully completed the group is to have effective strategies that they feel comfortable and competent in applying with their children to minimize parent-child conflict, reduce child’s disruptive behaviours, and enhance cooperation within families. Presentation, Q&A, and personalized workshop to help parents address problem behaviour and teach self- regulation. Group sessions will entail presentation of general theoretical and practical content in behaviour management coupled with opportunities for small group discussions, role plays, and review of the unique situations that each participant in the group are experiencing with their child(ren).
