Who should attend?    Parents and Caregivers|Children


Goals of the group include: 

  • Recognizing the symptom of anxiety 
  • Learning alternate patterns of thinking/feeling 
  • Relaxation techniques and exposure
Dates and Time:
Tuesdays from October 3rd – December 5th, 2017*
* There will not be a session on October 10th or 31st.
6:30 – 7:30 pm

Cost: Early bird registration rate: $880 before September 11th; $960 after this date**
+ $40 for the cost of the “Cool Kids Program” manual
**Check with your insurance provider for coverage.

A parent questionnaire will be completed in advance of registration in order to determine group appropriateness.

 

Concurrent child and parent group for children between 8 and 11 years treatment group for children who experience issues with anxious/nervous feelings, thoughts, or physical sensations. This evidence-based group utilizes Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), which is a proven and effective treatment for anxiety. Parent sessions are facilitated concurrently with child sessions in order to provide parents with valuable tools to support their children.
