Presenter Biography: Sarah Duhaime, MSW, RSW is an Employment and Life Skills Coach at The Redpath Centre, and a Child Development Team Social Worker at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitative Hospital. Working one-on-one with clients through a solution focused approach, she has over five years’ experience offering pre-employment, entry-level and mid-career level supports to those with ASD who are facing obstacles to finding and maintaining rewarding employment.

This Employment and ASD presentation is geared towards teens and young adults with Asperger’s or high functioning Autism, preparing for summer employment or volunteering and their parents/caregivers. It will focus on practical pre-employment skills/strategies. This workshop will also focus on common obstacles that occur for individuals with ASD once on the job.
