Who should attend? Children
The purpose of the Sibling Group is to provide people who are brothers and/or sisters of a sibling with ASD an opportunity to share information, access resources, and build friendships with other siblings who know what it's like to have a brother or sister with autism. This sibling support workshop is for children ages 9-12. Through discussions and activities, participants will have an opportunity to explore their feelings and attitudes regarding their family in a safe and supportive environment. Please note: Due to the nature of the conversations that take place in our sibling workshop, this group is not for children with an autism diagnosis. There is a respite group running at the same time and location for your child with an autism diagnosis. In order to sign up, both children need to be registered in the appropriate group. Click to register for this sibling support workshop, space is limited.
Snacks will be provided, parents send lunch and drinks. Lunch must be peanut free. Drop off starting at 8:45am, pick up at 3:00pm.
